This year, the retailer is helping shoppers out by providing suggested grocery lists and offering them at a discount—each featuring common ingredients for a Thanksgiving soirée. Each item on the list will be offered at a lower price to help take some of the stress out of holiday grocery shopping. A well-versed cook can follow the from-scratch basket list, which includes many of the basic ingredients needed for a typical Thanksgiving dinner, from canned pumpkin to turkey. And for a more convenient option, less-confident cooks can shop one of the lists of the two baskets that include premade or ready-to-bake options, like instant potatoes and frozen pies. Beginning November 1, Walmart is offering all three baskets at prices lower than they were last year, so you know you’ll be saving a few bucks. If you pick up the items from the wide-ranging, from-scratch basket, it will cost $77, and the more convenient options will cost $70 for the larger, name-brand basket and $30 for the smaller, store-brand basket.
