Ina Garten Brought the Perfect Walking Shoe Collection to Paris, and We Found Lookalikes to Shop

It’s no secret that so many of us love Ina Garten. She makes delicious, approachable food, plus her personality is so endearing. And, if you’re anything like the EatingWell team, you also love her comfortable yet chic approach to her clothes and footwear. Her recent trip to Paris during this year’s Olympic games was no exception since we spotted her wearing some smart shoes for her trip. 

Whether she’s walking around Paris or appearing on The Today Show, we spotted her in comfortable shoes like Allbirds sneakers, Merrell clogs, and slip-ons like this Cole Haan mule. All-Birds Wool Runners, Natural Black

Garten has been a long-time fan of All-Birds, understandably so, since the brand is known for its soft, light-as-air sneakers. While strolling through Paris, she wore a shoe nearly identical to the brand's natural black Wool Runners—an ideal companion to her signature denim top and black pants. The upper of these shoes are made with merino wool, hence the name, for the most comfortable feeling. The shoe’s base has a cushioned midsole for added support,  so you can easily walk all day. The best part? There’s no need to worry if the shoe gets scuffed up with wear since they’re fully machine washable. 

Merrell Encore Breeze 4 Clog, Black

I believe Garten wore these chef-shoe-like clogs from Merrell for her park trip with The Today Show team. They were harder to find (it took two of us to track this shoe down) because they looked like a classic kitchen clog, just made more comfortable with a fabric upper. These shoes are perfect for dining al fresco or being on the go, as they slip on and off. The bottom of the shoe has treads to keep you stable, while the heel features the bulk of the cushion to help absorb impact as you walk. The upper is made of mesh,  keeping them breathable and lightweight too. We love the leather detail across the top of the shoe and the fact that it extends over the toe for added durability. Garten, of course, sported the all-black pick, but it’s available in other colors, too. 

Cole Haan Piper Mule, Black Leather

When Garten made her TV appearance on The Today Show to discuss her Paris segments, she opted for a more dressed-up shoe to pair with her smart brown top, black pants and gold jewelry. It was harder to find the pair because we only got glimpses of it, but it looks similar to this leather mule option from Cole Haan, which is fittingly on sale. They’re simple slip-on leather shoes with some cut-outs up top to give the foot a little more design. I love the slight heel here, though we found this $33 flat lookalike on Amazon if you prefer a shoe without one.
