This peppermint espresso martini is the perfect cocktail to whip up when you want something festive for the holidays. If the mixture seems thick, let it sit in the blender for about 5 minutes before serving. If you don't have an espresso maker, you can make this drink with strong brewed coffee.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly brewed coffee, at room temperature

  • 1/4 cup freshly brewed espresso, at room temperature

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

  • 1 1/2 ounces crème de menthe

  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka

Directions

  1. Stir coffee, espresso and sugar together in a measuring cup. Pour into an ice cube tray. Freeze until solid, about 4 hours.

  2. Combine the coffee ice cubes, crème de menthe and vodka in a blender; process until smooth. Divide between 2 chilled martini glasses; serve immediately.

Store coffee ice cubes (Step 1) in the freezer for up to 1 week.
