There’s a recall on frozen waffles sold at Costco, according to an announcement made by the warehouse grocery chain. This is due to plastic found inside the product.

The waffles affected are the Kodiak-branded Power Waffles in their “buttermilk & vanilla” flavor. The frozen toaster waffles impacted were sold in 40-count boxes. They have a printed UPC of 705599019203 and a use-by date of “01/10/26.” The boxes recalled also have lot code 24193-WL4 and a printed time stamp of “12:00-23:00” and were sold at Costco warehouses in the Midwest region from July 15 through August 25, 2024.

The frozen breakfast items are being recalled due to the “potential presence of soft plastic film” in the waffles. While no injuries are connected to this recall, if you have experienced any injuries or illnesses after consuming this product, talk to your doctor immediately. And if you have these waffles in your freezer, dispose of them or return them to your local Costco for a full refund.

For questions about this recall, contact Kodiak through email at flapjacks@kodiakcakes.com or by phone at 801-328-4067.
